Maine filmmakers Judd Nelson, Huey and Brian Daly are featured in April's Portland Magazine in an interview regarding their planned collaboration on a Maine-based family film.
That film, Salt Hay, was written by Daly. It is a past prize winner at the Maine Screenwriting Competition, which was sponsored and organized by the Maine Film Office. Nelson, best known for his acting in films and television shows including The Breakfast Club and Suddenly Susan, will play a major role in the film. Huey, a filmmaker and educator, will direct Salt Hay.
The interview was conducted by Colin Sargent, Portland Magazine’s founding editor and publisher. Sargent is also a past prize winner at the Maine Screenwriting Competition.
