Director, Film Programs for Maine Media Workshops

Maine Media Workshops, an internationally known media arts school located in Rockport, Maine, is seeking a Director of Film Programs to provide professional direction to its college, workshop, and community film programs. Reporting to the Director of Education, the successful candidate will demonstrate by example professionalism and enthusiasm in a quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities will include: recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of film support staff; recruitment of film faculty; correspondence and direct contact with industry leaders and artists; curriculum planning and development; assistance with sponsorship administration and negotiation; teaching in the Professional Certificate Program and advising/mentoring in the MFA Program. The successful candidate will have excellent collaboration and communications skills as well as being detail oriented and highly organized.

Qualifications include prior experience working in an academic environment as well as knowledge of current industry technology, software, and equipment. Candidates holding terminal degrees will be highly preferred.

This is a fulltime exempt position with benefits including medical, life, vacation, sick and holiday.
